I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and lived there until I was 16 years old. I grew up dancing and just loved it. I started ballet at the age of 3 and continued that along with jazz and modern dancing for 10 years. After that I started Cheerleading which was amazing, I loved the thrill of doing competitions which took me to the South African championships where we came 3rd. At the age of 16 I thought my life was perfect, I loved going to school for the social life, I didn’t care much for the school work and I definitely gave the teachers a run for their money when I actually attended class. I was friends with everyone and life couldn’t have been better….

Until 1998 when my parents told me we were moving to America, naturally at the age of 16 I was devastated and thought my world had come to an end. I thought a miracle would happen and we wouldn’t have to leave, but as we all know that didn’t happen. I said farewell to all my family and friends and cried my way to America, where I thought I would be miserable forever. I started 11th grade in San Diego, California 3 months before the school year ended. I remember being terrified on my first day of school because some of the kids were so different with their hair dyed crazy colors, Mohawk hair cuts, and tattoo’s and piercings everywhere. I had come from a country a little more conservative with everyone in school uniform, hair always tied up, you couldn’t dye your hair, had no more then one piercing in your ears and so on. At this point I definitely started to wonder about my parent’s judgement and parenting skills to actually send me to school with these kids. LOL. As always I was reassured they knew what they were doing =) I ended up having a lot of fun at school and made many wonderful friends and graduated in 1999.
My parents then decided to move us to little Eugene, Oregon.

So off we drove to Oregon, where my sister would meet us 3 weeks later. Once getting there and staying in a Hotel for 2 weeks, I was convinced the rain would never stop and I would never see the sun again. I remember talking to my sister on my 18th birthday and telling her Oregon was miserable and we will never see the sun again. One thing I did like is the snow, our first year in Oregon we learnt to ski and made quite a habit of it. We soon realized when summer finally rolled around that Oregon is one of the most beautiful places to be.

I soon began working at a clothing store and taking classes at the community college. After running out of money I began working full time for General Motors Financing. I would usually save money just so I could go on vacation to South Africa, every time I have gone back I have had the time of my life with my life long friends who I am still in close contact with. One time I wanted to go back and visit so badly that I quit my job of 2 years because they wouldn’t give me the time off. This shows you that I am pretty spontaneous and definitely enjoy playing more then I enjoy working. I do however enjoy what I do now so it makes being at work for 8 hours a little better the past 3 years. My favorite 2 places to go visit is South Africa and Italy because I have family in both places and they are both beautiful countries.

I think the most important thing to know about me is I am very family oriented. My family is one of the most important things in my life and they have taught me so much. They have given me so much love and made me who I am today. Who I am today is probably what you want to know but chances are if you are reading this you probably already know that. I love to have fun, whether it’s going out dancing, rafting, just relaxing with friends, spending time with my family and pretty much anything except hanging out by myself. LOL I am people person and therefore like to be surrounded by people or at least one person. I get very bored by myself. I am also pretty easy going and usually easy to get a long with.

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be marrying the most amazing man in the world, who has a heart of gold and treats me like a princess. In the beginning I really did think he was too good to be true, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better, he has truly blessed my life and I am so blessed to be this lucky.
